We were busy on Saturday. We watched a friend play soccer in Menominee Falls at noon. He is a bit older than Quinn, and the game was a blast to watch. Those kids ran their legs off, and exhibited some pretty fancy footwork as well.
Next stop was a snake program at Havenwood State Forest. A few snakes we learned about: Black Rat Snake, Eastern Racer, Milk Snake, Butler’s Garter Snake, Fox Snake, Bull Snake, Queen Snake, Ribbon Snake, Hognose Snake, Timber Rattlesnake. We also learned about solar power, community gardening, and frogs. It was fun.
Our finale was the season opener of Admirals Hockey. What a game. Quinn says; “The team is young and really bad.” He is pretty much spot on. They sucked! In the second period, the Omaha Knights had 3 players in the penalty box. The Admirals – at full strength – were only able to get off one shot. They just passed the puck back and forth as if they were trying to burn up time. Maybe they wanted it to be over as much as we did. Final score was 7-1.
Quinn did score a t-shirt with the Admirals new logo. Too bad he will never get to wear it. size XXL!

Hi, Sound like a good weekend. We spent most of the weekend getting things ready for the cold weather. Dad resealed the asphalt drive, mowed, cut some things back, put the outside decorations away, went to Harlan Fire dept. breakfast – so kept busy.
I don’t know about that t-shirt – you might be surprised – as fast as he growing – if nothing else it might make a good Halloween costume.
Love,
Grandpa and Grandma
I used to have an albino black rat in college. Snakes can be fun pets. Have a good day.
Linda,
Take a look at the site again. I changed it out and integrated the photo gallery directly into the website. It looks much better. I did make sure the gallery is linked back to the homepage.
We just bought a new camera. We should be adding pictures almost every week. If you want some pictures posted of Quinn or the family let me know. You can have your own account to post pictures if you would like.
