Garden 2007

What I liked:

• Anaheim Chilis - hot
• Super Chilis - hot
• Holy Mole - medium
• Spinach - plant in rows 1st week of June
• Basil - plant in rows 1st week of June
• Mixed greens - plant in rows, every 3 weeks
• Tomatoes - no Roma’s, use plastic twine - not baling twine, for support, plant deep
• Onions - plant fairly shallow
• Tomatillas - awesome
• In general, peppers are not ready until late August/early September. No need to put plants in before Memorial Day, despite the weather.

Changes for next year

• Plant fewer beans - maybe 10 plants is enough.
• Try cukes again.
• Watermelon, peanuts, cauliflower, poblanos, serranos, banana peppers, kale or chard to overwinter.
• Skip Cayennes.
• Seed buckwheat between tomato plants
